| Music From the Monster Movies 1950-69

In the 50's & 60's a recurring theme in a lot of Monster Movies was Music! There were rockin' clubs and cafes with cool jukeboxes, teen poolside parties with local bands, sometimes it was a seedy bar with a sleazy torch singer, a beatnik coffeehouse, maybe dancing somewhere in outer space or some weird tribal ceremony on some cool secluded island with giant monsters running around, and you could count on it that a lot of the time there was smoking and drinking going on. It was a fun time!! A lot of movies also had quirky, swingin', jazzy or rockin' themes or credits. Our goal here is to attempt to give you a chance to hear a whole bunch of great music in hopes that you'll be inspired to go out and rent or buy the movies to keep them alive. Minus all the mayhem, killing & a lot of bad acting, you can really focus on how cool the music was! All this stuff is 35+ years old, & a lot of it you've probably seen or heard before. Many of these movies have been written about extensively on the internet, we just thought it would be fun to get it all in one place where we concentrate on the music alone. A lot of the movies are public domain, but if any of the music postings step on anybody's toes, let us know & we will remove them. It's just all for Fun & Education!! If you like the songs, go out & buy or rent the movies, IF you can find them!
