Lea Marie was simply always destined to be a Singer-Songwriter. This amazingly talented teen shows remarkable songwriting ability, having already written and composed 75 of her original songs. Lea Marie further demonstrates her wide ranging singing skills while accompanying herself on the piano and guitar. At the tender age of 11, Lea Marie caught the attention of friends and acquaintances with her first written piano tune “All I Want Is You”. She quickly followed her initial success, writing the catchy teen song “Tell Me Why”, which expresses a teenager’s first love feelings. Lea Marie’s music has grown up with her and has transformed into ‘a unique pop inspired sound all her own’. During the past three years, Lea Marie has been honing her performance skills by appearing in various New York City clubs, ‘open mic’ nights and charity events throughout New York and Connecticut. This year Lea Marie has accelerated her career by becoming a producer, as well, spending much of her time in her home recording studio. She is currently finishing her first album, due to be released on May 20, 2008. Before her ascent into the world of pop music, Lea Marie was busy on Broadway, in TV commercials, and even in feature films. In February, 2001, she played the role of ‘Shirley Temple’ in Showtime’s original production of “Bojangles”, starring Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. Her terrific tap dancing skills and singing, made her the perfect choice for the role. Prior to this film, Lea Marie starred in the role of ‘Baby Jane’ in the World Premiere Musical production “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane”. She also appeared opposite Jennifer Grey in the Miramax film: “Revelations”. This gifted young lady further distinguished herself by winning the New York Citywide Talent-Singing Competition. Lea Marie’s current ambition is to become a top-selling pop artist while continuing her flourishing songwriting career. Her completely re-vamped website: "LeaMarieMusic.com", enables visitors to access the music and video jukeboxes and download a variety of Lea Marie’s original songs and music videos. Recently, the brand-new website has been especially active, as the popularity of her recent dance track: “The Player”, caused the website to crash this past summer due to excessive ‘hits’. As Lea Marie’s talent moves her in even more interesting artistic directions, she eagerly anticipates her future accomplishments.
