Oh What A Shame
Got mad, shook my fist at the sky
got mad about everything, didn't stop to wonder why
stepped on the scales, this just can't be, I blew my top
and the crap really hit the fan when I got pulled over by a cop
Oh what a shame, when there's no one to blame but me
could I be the cause of my own misery?
So I began to think for things to change,
maybe I'm the one who has to re-arrange
let me tell you what I found out that kind of set me free
that when I point one finger out three more are pointed right back at me
The world's gone to hell in a handbag, they fuss and fight
and no one's right, you know
so I wrote a letter to the editor, blasting him with all my woes
everyone who's wrong thinks they're right,
and everyone else is inferior
but if you really just have to fight, fight the man in the mirror
Oh what a shame, when there's no one to blame but me
could I be the cause of my own misery?
