This was recorded for songfight in collaboration with Florida artist Chris Hoblit. I supplied the basic track and my lead vocal. Hoblit added lead guitar and his vocals and FTP'd it back. one of my personal favorites. "Hey Ruth" was recorded for a songfight entry. the approach was a little different as i wrote the lyric as a poem first, then put it to music. most of my songfight songs were created by writing/playing them on guitar or piano, then, having completed the song, i'd begin the recording. i like the difference the structure of this song. should appear on the upcoming closet kisses album.
